Triad wins Sign of the Year and Interior Sign of the Year Awards.
The reception we created for Radstone Technology plc doesn't just impress visitors. It also impressed the judges at the Sign of the Year and Interior Sign of the Year Awards.
Radstone commissioned Triad to design and project-manage the reception for their new head office at Towcester. Once we'd created the design, we contracted Sign Of The Times to manufacture the centrepiece world map and a range of display cases and materials.
We oversaw the whole complex process. The world map was produced in four sections, measuring 4m x 1.5m. The seascape was produced from 300mm x 300mm squares of toughened Remy slab glass with blue tiled effect digitally printed and applied to the reverse of the panels. The landmasses were laser cut from bright gold stainless steel and each section was panel beaten to create the textured effect we wanted. The landmasses were then mechanically fixed in place to create the striking three-dimensional effect.
At the awards ceremony, the sign was recognised as being "truly outstanding". One of the judges' comments was, "This sign and display is very obviously the result of a great deal of skill and commitment, and the end result is visually spectacular and impressive."
